Call for Student Poster Abstracts

Submission Deadline: Friday, January 16, 2026

The 4th International Flavor Summit brings together leading researchers and practitioners working in flavor science across the food, beverage, and health sectors.

Topics for the 2026 summit will include the latest trends and discoveries in:

  • Flavor Generation and Flavor Precursors
  • Chemosensory Perception and Psychophysics
  • Consumer Preferences
  • Natural Products as Sources of Novel Flavor Compounds

Student Poster Presentations

Student posters will be on display in the Poster and Sponsor Display Room, the primary gathering spot where the Welcome Reception and Poster Session will take place, and morning refreshments are served. These networking functions maximize opportunities for discussion amongst poster presenters, attendees, and sponsors.

  • Only STUDENTS may submit abstracts for poster presentations. Space at the Summit is limited for posters. The committee will review submissions and accept abstracts based on the relevance to the Summit topics and focus. Not all abstract submissions are guaranteed approval to present at the Summit.

Abstract Preparation & Submission Guidelines

Follow these steps to prepare and submit an abstract:
  1. Use this Abstract Template (.docx) to create a perfectly formatted abstract.
  2. Proof your abstract carefully and obtain applicable approvals prior to submission.
Additional Information:
  • To allow as many students as possible to have the opportunity to present a poster, authors are limited to submitting one poster abstract.
  • Presentations should be of original research, which has been substantially completed, but which has not yet been published as a full paper in a scientific journal.
  • Complete the submission form linked below by Friday, January 16, 2026.
  • Be mindful of typos. If your email address is incorrect, you will not receive confirmation.

Submission Confirmation

After completing the online submission, a confirmation is instantly emailed to you verifying transmission of the abstract. If you do not receive this email, we did not receive your abstract. Don't see the confirmation email in your inbox? Check your spam folder.

Registration Required to Present

All student poster presenters are required to register and pay a student registration fee by Friday, February 20, 2026, to attend and present at the summit. If your abstract is selected for poster presentation, the summit organizers will send a notification email that includes further information, including discounted registration fee details and a link to register. If not registered by Friday, February 20, 2026, your abstract will not be published and will be removed from the program.
