Call for Abstracts

Submission Deadline has Passed

The ACES conference brings together international scientists, practitioners, managers, and policymakers from government, academia, NGOs, and the private sector who are interested in natural systems and their relationship with human well-being. We invite those actively working in ecosystem services to submit an abstract for consideration as a talk or poster on a timely topic that would be beneficial and of keen interest to the ACES community. This year’s theme will focus on "Investing in Community Resilience and Equity”. Our goal is to develop a fully rounded agenda that ensures representation of our key presentation topics.

Presentation Formats

Talks

Speakers are allotted 20 minutes which includes 5-minutes for Q&A. Because space for talks is limited, with rare exception, individuals may present only once on the program either to give a talk or to serve on a panel, but not both. However, speakers and panelists may also present one poster. If your abstract is not selected as a talk, you will be invited to present a poster and present in a formal poster session.

Posters

Posters play a key role in the exchange of information at ACES and will be on display in the Exhibit Hall throughout the conference, where daily networking and meal functions are held. A formal poster session also allows ample time for visibility and interaction with attendees. You will also be asked to submit a PDF of your poster. Limit of one poster per individual.

  • All presentations will be live and in-person.
  • There are no remote presentation options.
  • Presentations will not be recorded.
  • A PDF of speaker slides will be posted on the ACES web site for those who authorize sharing.
Publication of Presentations

Abstracts will be published electronically as a PDF. PDFs of speaker PowerPoints and poster presentations authorized for sharing will also be available for post-conference viewing on the web site.

Presentation Requirements
  • Abstract Submission Fee: A non-refundable fee of $25.00 per abstract is charged at the time of submission.
