This year’s ACES features an optional post-conference field trip you won’t want to miss!
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is a top destination, boasting Texas’ largest collection of native plants in one spot for your viewing pleasure. The Center's mission is to inspire the conservation of native plants through its internationally recognized sustainable gardens, education and outreach programs, and research projects. Enjoy stunning gardens and unique architecture with an expert guide to show you the way. We will also take a guided tour of a prescribed burn site and discuss the role of fire ecology in managing unwanted vegetation on large landscapes, and its impact on increasing plant diversity and wildlife habitat and providing beneficial ecosystem services.
