Are you passionate about science and eager to share your knowledge with the world? Whether you're speaking with collaborators, funders, journalists, scientists from other disciplines, or "civilians" (think, your grandmother), it can be hard to explain your area of scientific interest, and why it matters.

That's why, during this fast-paced exploration of public speaking essentials, every participant will talk about their work and receive real-time feedback and tips for adding clarity and impact.

You'll learn how to:
  • Organize your thoughts quickly;
  • Replace jargon with easily understood words and concepts;
  • Answer questions concisely; and
  • Deliver what your listener(s) need to know.
