Presentation Topics

We encourage anyone conducting research in the Florida Keys marine ecosystem, including surrounding areas such as Florida Bay and Biscayne Bay, to submit an abstract. We are interested in highlighting the wide scope of research in the Florida Keys and how this body of research can predict, and help us address, future challenges. When submitting your abstract, please choose a topic from the list below that broadly describes your abstract. We understand that some abstracts can fall into several topics. For example, you may be conducting sponge research, and depending on your focus, this abstract might be considered appropriate for “Shallow Water and Nearshore Habitats”, or “Florida Keys Restoration Ecology”. If you research disturbance events, choose the topic most closely associated with your study organism/system responding to the disturbance event. The scientific program committee will consider the topic you have selected but will also examine the abstracts overall when grouping presentations together to create cohesive sessions. Please note, this conference will have a limit of 70 oral presentations and 96 poster presentations.
