Silent Auction

The silent auction will return for the 39th Florida Master Gardener Volunteer Advanced Training Conference! For those of you who have enjoyed the Silent Auction in the past, this year promises to have some great offerings. Gardening tools and accessories, rare plants, caladium bulbs, rain barrels, coastal surprises, wonderful artwork, handmade creations, and baskets of local goodies are a few of the items you can expect to find at the Silent Auction.

Silent Auction proceeds support the Master Gardener Volunteer Awards of Excellence and Service Awards.

Auction Donations

Conference organizers are requesting that the Florida Master Gardener Volunteers from individual counties donate items for the silent auction. Donations from each county will be grouped into no more than 10 groupings and placed in a designated display area at the conference. If a county wants to donate items for the Silent Auction but will not have representatives attending the conference, adjacent counties may submit Silent Auction items on their behalf. Please consult Auction Committee Chair, David Austin (), in advance regarding donations.


County Competition

Master Gardener Coordinators, we are interested in making this a healthy competition for the volunteers. We ask that you work with one another to try to outdo the donations from other participating counties. The county whose auction items bring in the most money will receive a prize packet! You may include a group photo with your donated items so the bidders can identify the county that their bid will benefit.

Note: Only cash or check payments will be accepted during auction checkout, so please plan accordingly! There is an ATM available onsite at the host hotel.
