Goals and Objectives

Goal

Present information and engage participants in a discussion about the state-of-the-art in decision support tools designed to give producers and land managers a competitive edge in increasing productivity and reducing risks associated with climate variability and change.

Objectives

1. Engage Extension professionals, producers, policy makers, researchers, private sector and agency representatives in the development of climate education and decision support tools
2. Present recent progress on the development of climate web-based and mobile phone apps for agriculture
3. Facilitate information sharing on stakeholders’ needs and knowledge gaps
4. Foster collaboration that will lead to more comprehensive and widely applicable tools
