Closing Keynote Speaker
Thursday, April 18 | 4:30pm – 5:30pm
We are incredibly honored to announce that United States Secretary of the Interior, Deb Haaland, will be delivering the closing keynote address at the National Conference on Ecosystem Restoration (NCER 2024).
Secretary Deb Haaland
Secretary Haaland, an enrolled member of the Pueblo of Laguna in New Mexico, made history when she became the first Native American to serve as a cabinet secretary. Throughout her career in public service, Secretary Haaland has broken barriers and opened the doors of opportunity for future generations. She was elected as one of the first Native American women to serve in Congress and was the first Native American woman to lead a state political party in the country.
Secretary Haaland will share her profound insights and bold initiatives regarding the crucial role of the Department of the Interior as a steward of America's public lands. A trailblazer in advancing environmental protections, promoting environmental justice, and strengthening the nation-to-nation relationship with Tribes, Secretary Haaland's closing keynote promises to leave us enlightened and inspired.
