The Freshwaters Illustrated Mission is raising public awareness about the life, study, and conservation of freshwater ecosystems through immersive visual media and stories, and providing imagery and resources to scientists, educators, and media producers. The FI Vision is to help inspire a world that is more conscious of freshwater life and more sympathetic to the cause of freshwater conservation. Freshwaters Illustrated is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2003, the UN International Year of Freshwater.

Films creates immersive visual stories that introduce viewers to the beauty, wonder, and value of freshwater ecosystems. We produce short format films for web and feature films for broadcast and education.

UPRIVER is a ‘watershed film’ that explores one of the Nation’s most active river conservation movements. Within Oregon’s Willamette River system, the film focuses on people from all walks of life coming together to revive the health of this large river and the life it supports. UPRIVER was produced with support from the Meyer Memorial Trust, National Fish & Wildlife Foundation, Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, National Science Foundation, U.S. Forest Service, and generous individual donors.

This is a feature film exploring America's richest waters. Ten years in the making, Hidden Rivers is Freshwaters Illustrated’s newest feature film that explores the rivers and streams of the Southern Appalachian region, North America’s most biologically rich waters. The film follows the work of conservation biologists and explorers throughout the region, and reveals both the beauty and vulnerability of these ecosystems.

The Office of Conferences & Institutes is a full service conference planning agency at the University of Florida. OCI was created to support the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) mission to develop knowledge in agriculture, human and natural resources, and to make that knowledge available to people to sustain and enhance the quality of human life.
