Student Competition

"Proudly Sponsored by the Large Scale Ecosystem Restoration Section (LERS) of the Society of Ecological Restoration (SER)"

A Student Competition will be held in conjunction with NCER 2016. All students giving presentations are automatically enrolled. Winners will receive an Award Certificate and a $100 gift certificate during the closing plenary session on Friday, April 22.

Student Competition Categories

(A) Best Student Oral Presentation

This award will honor the best oral presentation given by a student during the conference. Each student presenter will be evaluated by two judges using standardized scoring criteria. Scores will be compiled and ranked during a meeting of the Awards Committee at the end of the 2nd Poster Session on Thursday, April 21. The top ranked oral presenter will receive this award.

(B) Best Student Poster Presentation

This award will honor the best poster presentation given by a student during the conference. Each student poster will be evaluated by two judges using standardized scoring criteria. Scores will be compiled and ranked during a meeting of the Awards Committee at the end of the 2nd Poster Session on Thursday, April 21. The top ranked poster presenter will receive this award.

Poster Evaluations during Poster Sessions: April 19 and 21, 2016
Awards Committee Meeting / Ranking / Selection: April 21 (7:00 PM)
Awards Presentation at Conference: April 22, 2016 (during closing plenary)
