Programmatic and Special
Session Topics
The GEER 2010 technical program will focus on
ramifications of change in the Greater Everglades ecosystem
as caused by Climate and Sea Level Rise, Invasive Species,
Human Influence, Continued Degradation and Ongoing
Restoration, Natural Hazards (hurricanes, tropical storms,
floods, and drought), Nutrients and Contaminants, Hydrologic
Effects and Landscape Dynamics.
To address these ramifications of change,
presentations will be organized into a diverse group of
technical sessions on:
-
Adaptive Management and Restoration
Planning in Biscayne Bay
-
Biogeochemistry, Contaminants & Water
Quality
-
Carbon Dynamics

NOTE: Abstract submissions are not
limited to these areas. We want to capture all emerging
topics and new ideas critical to Everglades restoration. If
you were asked to submit an abstract for presentation in a
particular session, be sure to identify that specific
session when submitting your abstract online.
