County Displays / Exhibits Information

What great projects and programs have been happening in other counties this year?

Display Size: you will receive a 6′ x 30″ table for your display. We have a limited amount of space so please keep your display to the assigned table-top space unless you have made special arrangements with Tom Wichman. Please contact Tom Wichman (twichman@ufl.edu) to sign up for display space. If you require electricity for your display, please let me know in advance so I can make sure to place your table accordingly. If you require internet at your display, there is a daily charge of $50.00 and you must order and pay directly through the Hotel.

Setup Instructions: The County Display Room (Magnolia B) will be open beginning Sunday, September 20th at 3:00pm for setup. Each display table will have an ID card for you to locate your table. If you arrive after 6:00pm on Sunday night, please plan to setup on Monday, October 21st, before the program begins at 9:00am. Viewing for participants will begin at 11:30am.

Removal Instructions: All Displays should be removed no later than Wednesday, October 23rd, immediately following the conclusion of the conference.

Mobile Plant Clinic

The Mobile Plant Clinic is a scaled down version of the UF-IFAS Extension Service office in Orange County. They are prepared to answer homeowner questions about landscape and garden problems. They can perform pH test on soil samples provided by the homeowner. They have University of Florida publications available and free that cover a range of topics such as turf selection, weed management, vegetable/herb/butterfly gardening, native plant selection and Florida-Friendly Landscaping practices. [Location – outside parking lot near the Cypress Patio]
