Meeting Site Information
Lectures will be held on the University of Florida (UF) campus at the McKnight Brain Institute, one of the nation’s most comprehensive and technologically advanced centers devoted to discovering how the normal brain operates and how we can repair the brain following injury, disease, or aging.
Labs will be held at UF’s Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research (ICBR), which houses world-class core laboratories focused on the tools of biotechnology. These core laboratories include protein analysis and peptide synthesis, flow cytometry and cell sorting, monoclonal antibody development, computation, and electron microscopy. ICBR also has a DNA sequencing lab and myriad capabilities for state of the art science, including Bioinformatics, DNA synthesis, Cytometry, Electron Microscopy, Gene Expression & Genotyping, Monoclonal Antibody/NextGen DNA Sequencing, Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry, and Sanger Sequencing.
We have arranged for a group discount for workshop attendees to stay at the nearby Holiday Inn University Center located at the corner of the UF campus. See lodging information and hotel reservation instructions below.
A bus will transport workshop participants from the Holiday Inn to the morning workshop location at the beginning of each day, and from the afternoon workshop location to the hotel at the end of each day. (Note: If you choose to stay at another hotel, you will need to arrange foryour own daily transportation.)
