Andrea Arias is a leader in Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics, transforming agriculture by integrating advanced data science with biological innovation. With a B.S. in Biotechnology from USFQ-Ecuador and a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Iowa State University, Andrea combines deep scientific expertise with a forward-thinking approach to tackle complex challenges in crop improvement and agricultural sustainability.
Andrea spent ten years at Corteva, where she advanced automated analytical pipelines and decision systems for breeding operations across diverse crops and regions. She later led the global data science group within Research and Development, driving innovation and collaboration to enhance plant breeding and agricultural research.
In 2022, Andrea joined Jord Bioscience as Vice President of Data Science and Crop Testing. In this role, she integrates advanced analytics with biological innovation to improve the performance and complement the modes of action of agricultural products. Her work includes leveraging computer vision, experimental design, and statistical analysis to support product development and data-driven decisions. Additionally, Andrea oversees product field testing, genomics pipelines, data management, and delivering actionable analytics insights to drive innovation and impact in agricultural systems.
