UF/IFAS Grant Seminar
The IFAS Dean for Research office is pleased to announce registration is open for our spring grantsmanship workshop. Registration expenses for IFAS faculty will be covered by the IFAS Dean for Research office. For non-IFAS faculty, a fee of $225 will be charged for participation.

Write Winning Grants:

This widely acclaimed seminar comprehensively addresses both practical and conceptual aspects that are important to the proposal-writing process. It is designed for faculty members who have had some exposure to writing grant applications, either through training / mentoring or personal experience. Emphasis is given to such things as idea development, identification of the most appropriate granting agency, how to write for reviewers, and tips and strategies that are of proven value in presenting an applicant's case to reviewers.

Your registration fees will be covered by the Dean for Research office and registration will be complimentary


What does the registration fee include? Attendance, conference materials, continental breakfast, AM and PM refreshments, as well as lunch.

Substitutions: After January 7, no cancellations are allowed, however, substitutions may be granted with advanced notice. If you would like to request a substitution, please email Kim Brand, kimmer72@ufl.edu or call (352) 392-5930 no later than 12:00pm on Friday, January 25, 2013. Sorry, after January 25th, no substitutions are allowed.

No Shows: If you registered and paid for your registration to the workshop and were not able to attend, please contact Lisa Garrett, Grants Assistant, IFAS Dean for Research, garretll@ufl.edu, 352-273-3487 to request to have your workshop materials mailed to you after the workshop concludes on February 4, 2013.

Refund Policy: Requests for registration refunds will be honored if a written notification of cancellation is received by the Office of Conferences & Institutes on or before January 7, 2013. A $35.00 processing fee will be deducted from all registration refunds. Sorry, no refunds will be honored for cancellations after January 7, 2013.

Averaged $10-$12 million a year in successful grant applications to many different federal agencies and private foundations. Joined Grant Writers Seminars and Workshops part time in 2008, and full time in 2010.
