15th International Symposium on Trace Elements in Man & Animals ( TEMA 15)

Purpose of Symposium

The 15th International Symposium on Trace Elements in Man and Animals ( TEMA 15) will be inclusive for the trace element community as presentations will include reports of research on humans, animals, cells and molecules both basic and applied. The symposium will cover diverse topics related to man and animals by including, for example, model systems and status assessment methods.

The symposium will bring together biomedical and nutritional scientists with interests in trace mineral nutrition and metabolism. Interests of the group will include trace element nutrition and relationships to human disease, trace mineral metabolism in agricultural animals, including trace minerals in foods and issues related to bioavailability.

The goals of TEMA 15 continues the TEMA tradition of 1) being a form for recent progress and 2) a site to exchange ideas among international investigators in the trace element field.
