Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference

Supply Your Farm Product to the Conference

Deadline: May 20, 2014

If you are interested in supplying food for Florida’s premier conference for local food growers and communities, let us know what you produce by May 20th, 2014.

It is our goal to offer as much Local, Fresh Florida-produced food for this conference that is feasible considering the time of year. The conference is a prime opportunity to showcase your products, potentially expand your market by selling directly to the event facility at the Osceola Heritage Park (OHP) and a free marketing opportunity. If you are a producer that may have: vegetables; fruit; baked goods; seafood; meat; dairy; or any value-added product available in late July/Early August and would like to be considered for selling your products to the conference, please, follow these instructions by May 20th, 2014. NOTE: Information received after May 20th will be considered for next year’s conference (2015).

1) Complete the Farmer Information Form. This will register you for the initial contact by the food purchasing team for the conference.

2) Option to register your food business with Florida Food Connect. Powered by Florida Market Maker, this registration is a free service to you that will expand your marketing opportunities, as well as facilitate purchases by the event facility at OHP. IF you previously registered with Florida Market Maker previously, your registration has been automatically populated into the new site and there is no need to register again.

Here are some example questions you will be asked to answer on the Farmer Information Form:

  1. Full contact information so that we may contact you.
  2. Product availability July/August (ex: fresh, frozen, value-added). Be descriptive as possible.
  3. Available volume to sell of each (e.g., 100lbs beef, 75lb corn, 5 gal milk, 20 oz juice)
  4. Do you have farm/product insurance? If so, type of insurance
  5. Do you have the required permits to sell your product? If so, please list.
  6. Do you have the ability to distribute your product to the event location?
[Location: Osceola Heritage Park 1875 Silver Spur Lane, Kissimmee, FL 34744]
