As you walk through the Extension Learning Zone, you will have the opportunity to see numerous small and urban greenhouse hydroponic production systems. You will experience the different options for propagation of transplants, micro-greens, herbs and vegetables. Demonstrations will include: upright, reservoir, and root manipulated containers; lay flat bags, and open troughs. You will also look at vertical growing systems and nutrient film technique (NFT) hydroponic production.
Attendees will also interact with active learning stations that identify actual diseases and insects as well as plant nutrition challenges, fertilizer injection systems, and several styles of greenhouses.
