Registration Information

UPDATE: The Symposium has reached maximum capacity. Registration is closed.

Individuals submitting an abstract:   Submit an abstract FIRST and prior to registering for the symposium. During the abstract submission process, you will be prompted to become a new ISHS member. After becoming an ISHS member, register for the symposium at the ISHS member fee.

Member Fee:  The registration fee combined with funds contributed by our generous sponsors, provides attendees with one copy of the Acta Horticulturea (proceeding) that is published and distributed post event. The fee also includes Sunday's Welcome Reception, Monday's Poster Session, Tuesday's Field Trip, daily morning and mid-day refreshments, Monday through Wednesday's lunches, and Wednesday’s evening event at the Orlando Science Center with dinner provided. Members: You will need your ISHS member number to receive the reduced member registration fees.


Non-Member Fee: includes all of the above.


Student Fee: includes all of the above, except students will not receive a copy of Acta Horticultuea.


Guest Fees: The guest fee(s) allow guests 10 years of age and older attendance to the Sunday Evening Welcome and/or the Wednesday evening event at the Orlando Science Center with dinner provided. All  children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The guest fee is not for use by co-workers and does not include participation in the symposium or symposium materials.


NOTE: Symposium registration does not include hotel reservations or cost.  See the Symposium Location & Hotel page for reservation information. Individuals not staying in the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort will be charged a facility usage fee of $100 prior to entrance into the meeting. NOTE: U. S. Federal attendees are exempt from the Facility Usage Fee due to federal per diem rate requirements.


Refund Policy: All registration refund requests must be received in writing by February 29, 2016. No refunds will be issued after this date. A processing fee of $100.00 will be deducted from all meeting registration refunds and $20.00from all guest fee refunds. To cancel, email Kimberly Brand, Email: kimmer72@ufl.edu


Special Needs: Special needs (such as visual, hearing or walking impairments) of registered attendees can be reasonably accommodated if they contact the Office of Conferences & Institutes at least 10 working days prior to the symposium.
