SFTIC Awards

Three awards are presented by the Southern Forest Tree Improvement Committee for outstanding contributions to the conference.

The Tony Squillace Award (student and non-student)

Best oral presentation (excluding invited papers) based on content, style and use of visuals, $300 cash prize

The Bruce Zobel Award (student)

Outstanding student presentation based on content, style and use of visuals, $300 cash prize

Poster Awards (student and non-student)

First place, The Baruch Institute Poster Award, $200 cash prize
Second place, The Hans van Buijtenen Poster Award, $150 cash prize
Third place, The Hans van Buijtenen Poster Award, $100 cash prize

OCI stands for the Office of Conferences & Institutes. It is a full service conference planning agency at the University of Florida. OCI was created to support the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) mission to develop knowledge in agriculture, human and natural resources, and to make that knowledge available to people to sustain and enhance the quality of life.
