Introduction

Hello and thank you for supporting the 2008 Aquatic Weed Control Short Course!

 

As you know, this annual short course is attended by more than 400 applicators responsible for aquatic weed control in canals, lakes, golf course ponds, rivers, parks, residential developments and other waterways. This is a tremendous educational program and it would not be possible without the financial support of organizations such as yours.

This web site is for our sponsoring organizations and contains the necessary information to ensure your firm’s participation. Simply share this web link with the representatives attending the event to efficiently communicate sponsor information such as: table-top display specifications, program presentation, and registration instructions.   •  ALL Sponsor Representatives are required to register for the Short Course.

  • Sponsorships received by April 9 will be recognized during the event. Sponsorships received afterwards may not meet printing deadlines. Contact Jhanna Gilbert if sponsorship commitment is after April 9, 2008.

  • Only sponsorships of $1,500 or more receive complimentary registrations. See above categories for details.

  • Gold and Silver Sponsors will be contacted by program organizers to confirm presentation topics.

Table-Top Display Information

  • Each sponsoring organization will receive one complimentary, six-foot table for display space to exhibit product labels and materials throughout the short course providing you a valuable opportunity to spend time with participants and meet with them one-on-one.

  • Tables are first-come, first-served. Please arrive between the hours of 4:00pm-7:00pm on Monday, May 5th to set-up your table-top display.

Set-up, Removal & Location:

Monday set-up is recommended, but if it is not possible, we suggest completing set-up before the short course begins, by 8:00am Tuesday, May 6th.

Tear Down:

Thursday, May 8th              By 1:00pm

SHIPPING PACKAGES

If you plan to ship any materials or packages to the Coral Springs Marriott Hotel in advance, please note the following:

ü       All incoming packages should be addressed to the attention of Fanci Stockman

ü       Clearly label all packages with your company name and the dates of the Short Course
  (May 5-8, 2008). 

ü       Clearly number each box and include the total number of boxes. (Example: 1 of 2)

ü       There is a $4.50 charge per box for each box received by the hotel. This charge will be posted to the
  main vendor’s guest room, or

ü       Because there is limited storage space, boxes can be accepted no more than three working days prior
  to the start of the meeting on Monday, May 5th.

ü       A storage fee of $75 per day, per box will be applied to any materials shipped earlier
  than three days prior to the event.

ü       Boxes left on premises for longer than 1 week after departure without shipping instructions will be
  discarded

Only Bronze, Silver, and Gold sponsors, may register one (Bronze), two (Silver), or three (Gold) representatives complimentary to participant in this event. The complimentary online form will appear as a hyperlink after you submit your sponsorship form online, using the button above.

 

Note: It is recommended that persons attending the short course complete the online registration form personally in order to best accommodate their individual needs.

*General sponsors do not receive complimentary registrations and will need to register using the online form located on the main web site. (Click here to register)

In order to prepare for their attendance, we request that representatives register prior to Friday, April 11th.

Each registration includes full participation in the event, including the short course program, a Book of Presentations, and the Tuesday Evening Welcome Reception, along with many opportunities to network with attendees. It also includes the morning, mid-morning and afternoon refreshments. (Travel and accommodations are not included in the short course registration.)

Cancellation Information: Should circumstances arise that would force you to cancel your registration, we request that you contact the Office of Conferences & Institutes by Monday, April 21, 2008 to inform us that you will not be able to participate. If it is later than Monday, April 21, please still contact us. Your attendance is important; plans and expenses have been made on your behalf. If you cannot attend, please email or call so we may make the necessary adjustments. Thank you for your consideration.

Special Needs: Special needs (such as visual, hearing or walking impairments) of registered attendees can be reasonably accommodated if they contact the Office of Conferences & Institutes at least 10 working days prior to the short course.
