The Small Farms Conference is a one-of-a-kind event in Florida. It brings together all aspects of the local food community. The events that are held within the conference are exceptional learning and networking opportunities. New ideas, new friends and new connections are made every year. I've attended the conference every year and I keep coming back because of the people involved from the planning team to the attendees. Some I only get to see once a year at the conference; others I've worked with and can reconnect and do business with. A lot of business gets done at this conference. The price is so reasonable and includes lots of great Florida-grown food, handouts, and tools for growing local in Florida.

Whether you are a new producer or an experienced farmer, you'll find The Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference is worth attending. Talks and exhibits give you the information you need to help you produce and sell your farm products. Those of us who farm really like the chance to visit with other producers and exhibitors as well as with University Extension and Research Faculty (while we're enjoying delicious meals of Florida grown food!)
- Nancy Roe, Farming Systems Research, Inc., Boynton Beach
It’s a wonderful experience for all! New Farmer's, old farmer's and people who are looking into being farmer's. You won't find a better opportunity to see what is available out there for the small farmer.
- Lynn Steward, Mr. Citrus Organics and Vegetables, Arcadia
Since 2009 the Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises conference has made an effort to stimulate knowledge, encourage growth and to revitalize and strengthen the small farms community in the State of Florida. Through their excellent educational sessions, stimulating farms tours and overall well planned program the SFAE team has managed to generate and fortify, a message not of food sovereignty; rather food solidarity!
