IFAS or FAMU State or County Faculty with an Extension appointment working on or interested in topics related to Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises are strongly encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration as a poster for the Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference.
Purpose: The purpose of the posters will be to deliver research based information to small farms and alternative enterprise clientele using a poster format. Posters provide a valuable source for interaction and are fantastic opportunity to increase the visibility of IFAS programs to a diverse and enthusiastic clientele. Initiated in 2012, the top three posters will also be recognized at the conference and on the website after the conference has concluded. (Click here to view the 2012 poster winners.) Use this opportunity to communicate details of your work and submit your abstract today.
Limit the Abstract Title to One Line. It Should Be the Same Title as the Poster Title First Author1, Second Author1 and Third Author2 This is a sample of the body of the abstract. Limit your abstract to approximately 250 words. Use 1-inch margins – top, bottom, and sides. Font should be San Serif and preferably Arial at 10 points, do not use a smaller font size. Submit abstract in Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format file. Do NOT submit as a PDF. Prior to sending your abstract, proof one last time. The contact information at end of the abstract should be the point of contact to receive communication for abstract status and later questions. It should be limited to one person. Upon acceptance, at least one author should register and participate in the conference. Registration deadline is July 12. You will also be asked to submit a pdf of the poster by August 7 to include on the website post-conference. The three top posters will be recognized at the conference and on the conference website.
