Call for Abstracts

Abstract Submission Deadline: Friday, December 7, 2019

All individuals interested in Everglades' ecosystem restoration are invited to submit an abstract for consideration as an oral or poster presentation at the conference. During the submission process, you will be asked to identify the most applicable topic for your abstract. Abstract submissions are not limited to topical areas outlined for the conference as we want to capture all emerging topics and new ideas critical to Everglades’s restoration.

Follow these steps to prepare and submit an abstract:

  1. Use this word template to create a perfectly formatted abstract.
    • Abstracts should not exceed one page.
    • Do not include graphs or figures.
    • Include a brief bio and your full contact information at the end of the abstract.
    • If your email address is entered incorrectly in the online submission form, you will not receive a confirmation and we will not be able to contact you.*
  2. Proof your abstract carefully, and be sure to obtain all applicable approvals prior to submission.
  3. Submit your abstract by December 7, 2018 using the online form linked by the button below.
    (Do not email your file. Files sent as email attachments will not be reviewed or scheduled.)
  4. Individuals are limited to giving one oral talk. However, speakers may also present one or more posters.
  5. Registration is required to participate and present. All presenters, oral and poster, are required to register and pay the applicable fee by March 1, 2019 to confirm participation in the program. 

Abstract Submission Fee

A fee of $25.00 per abstract is charged at the time of submission. This fee must be paid by credit card so have your credit card handy before you begin the abstract submission process. The fee is non-refundable.

Submission Confirmation

After completing the online submission form, a confirmation is instantly emailed to you confirming transmission of the abstract. If you don’t receive this email, we did not receive your abstract.

Presenter Registration Requirement

Conference speakers, session organizers and moderators must register by Friday, March 1, 2019 to confirm participation in the program. Confirmed registration fees will be announced when online registration opens October 31st. For budgeting and planning purposes, the estimated early bird registration fee will be between $395-$450 for government and non-profit attendees, $495-$550 for industry representatives and $295-$350 for student attendees. There are no one-day registration fees.
